Vittorazi Extra Cooling Shroud and Installation Hardware
The cooling shroud is highly recommended for sport use, tandem engine operation, and use in tropical areas where ambient temperatures are high and the cylinder head temperature (CCT) measured by the sensor exceeds 250°C. The shroud can reduce the cylinder head temperature by 25°C, while the Vittorazi-approved propeller can reduce it by an additional 25°C thanks to its Extra-Cooling profile. The new style of cooling shroud features four threaded holes (two on each side) in the cylinder head. Therefore, please ensure you order the correct size. If your cylinder head does not have these side threads, you will need to order the older style. This new design allows airflow to pass directly over the fins, encountering fewer obstructions and enabling better heat dissipation, resulting in up to 10% better cooling than competing models.
The weight of the cooling shroud and mounting kit has been significantly reduced (the total weight is only 155 grams, compared to 300 grams for the previous version), without affecting the engine’s quality and durability. This kit is only compatible with engines equipped with the new 2016 cylinder head, which has side mounting holes. From January 2016 onwards, all Vittorazi engines
