The Icaro Solar X Helmet V2 is engineered with a reduced width, making it lighter and reducing air resistance for an improved flying experience. The advantage of a slimmer design is clear: less weight and better aerodynamics. However, due to the fixed shell size, it’s available up to XL (61 cm head circumference).
KEY FEATURES
Polycarbonate Shell: The 3mm thick polycarbonate shell offers a lightweight yet robust structure.
Polystyrene Reinforced Interior: For added safety, the interior features reinforced polystyrene, with an additional layer of polycarbonate to meet the E.N. 966 certification standards.
Airflow Channels: Equipped with 2 air channels for optimal ventilation. You can adjust the airflow with one hand while flying, ensuring comfort no matter the conditions.
Sizes: Available in three sizes with an adjustable sizing wheel to fit head circumferences from 53 cm to 61 cm:
S (53-55 cm) – XS-S
M (56-57 cm) – M-L
L (57-61 cm) – L-XL
Covering Shell Edge: A fabric strip is stitched around the edge of the shell for a sleek, polished look.
Sidepieces and Chin Strap: Durable plastic-coated stainless steel wire sidepieces and a comfortable micrometric chin strap ensure a secure fit.
Certification: Complies with E.N. 966 standards for free flight and microlight pilots, ensuring both safety and lightweight design (approx. 550g).

Solar X by Icaro 2000 is a helmet that has long been a favourite with paraglider, hang glider and microlight pilots all over the world, for its lightness, style and certified safety. But technology is constantly developing, and so we have completely redesigned Solar X with new features to offer even higher levels of performance, protection and comfort. We have recalibrated its internal ventilation, added an inner cap in the high-tech fabric Coolmax, and optimized sizes with two new outer shells. Characteristics that remain unchanged are the Italian design, the appealing style and colours, and the quality of a helmet made exclusively in Italy. We are proud to present Solar X!
